Search for a new home by commute time

The new search by commute feature allows Fotocasa users to set a point of interest (an address), a means of transportation (walking, driving, public transportation...), and a commute time (10 to 60 min).

And based on these parameters, display to the user the area that best suits their needs and the available property listings within it.

The user's voice

We conducted interviews and usability tests with 15 Fotocasa users. The needs and pain points identified changed the strategy of how we had been approaching the project up to that point.

The voice and perspective of the user, integrated into the research process, are essential for finding the most optimal solutions at every stage of the project.

The impact generated by a new search method

The search by travel time had an immediate impact on product, satisfaction, and business metrics:

  • An increase in user satisfaction with an impact on CSAT metrics.
  • New user adoption: 250,000 visits/month to the search by scroll time modal, of which 50,000 were new users to the portal.
  • We experienced an increase in the monthly percentage of contacts.
  • A solution that can be integrated into other portals (e.g., Infojobs).
